The Centennial Committee is working on a celebration of our own chapter's history for the Banff meeting in 1998.

MLA '97 Annual Meeting Listserv

MLA has set up a new listserv for individuals attending the 97 annual MLA meeting.

The purpose of this listserv is for attendees to exchange information about the meeting, find roommates, dining companions, cheaper airflights, etc.

MLA in Chicago will not moderate this list or see it as a means of communication with MLA in Chicago itself. If attendees wish to communicate with MLA in Chicago, direct email, fax, or phone calls are the proper methods.

PNC Annual Meeting in Portland

The Pacific Northwest Chapter will hold its annual meeting October 15-18, 1997 at the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

This year's theme will be "Surviving and Thriving in the Age of Technology."
