GEORGE ADAM UHL. Papers; 1898-1899, 1945-1969, 1972. 12 microfiche.

George Adam Uhl served in the U. S. Army from 1898 to1899. During his term of service in the military, Uhl was stationed at Woodland, Camp Barrett, and Fort Point in California, and at Rampart, Alaska.

The collection consists of a microfiche copy of the papers of George Adam Uhl concerning his military service in the U. S. Army from 1898 to 1899. The papers are divided into three series: 1) letters, 2) photographs, and 3) clippings and memorabilia.
In the letters, dated 1898-1899, Uhl describes his military service and his voyage from California to St. Michael aboard the S. S. Humboldt. There are also typed transcripts of the letters. There are five photographs with captions, dated from 1898-1899 and 1972. The clippings and memorabilia are dated from 1945 to 1969.

The collection was presented to the archives by James P. Uhl in 2006. The collection was loaned to the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections, Elmer E. Rasmuson Library, University of Alaska Fairbanks, for microfilming in December 2005.
