ALASKA HUMANITIES FORUM. CONFERENCE: LAND: BRIDGE TO THE COMMUNITY - A LITERARY RESPONSE. Recordings; 1973. .3 cu. ft.
The Alaska Humanities Forum is a non-profit organization funded by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Its purpose is to provide funding for projects which involve people in the humanities in dialogue with Alaska's adult population about public policy issues, in order to examine alternate approaches to public policy decisions. As a part of this purpose the Humanities Forum also sponsors conferences and public discussions of public policy issues. The conference "Land: Bridge to the Community - a Literary Response" was sponsored by the forum in 1973 for the purpose of discussing land uses and policies and their effects on communities.
The collection consists of one reel to reel audio tape and 3 reel to reel video tapes of the forum conference, "Land: Bridge to the Community" held at Alaska Methodist University in March, 1973.
The collection was transferred to the Archives & Manuscripts Department from the UAA Consortium Library Technical Services Department in 1986.
