Maxine Reed was is a prominent member of the Anchorage community and the wife of Frank Reed, Sr. She was a member of the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Consumers Commission (1971-1972). The UAA Archives also holds the papers of her husband, Frank Reed, Sr.
The collection consists of papers relating to Maxine Reed and to her work on the GAAB Consumers Commission. Included are a few personal papers, Consumers Commission records, photographs, and miscellaneous publications and clippings.
The collection was presented to the archives in 1994.
