HISTORICAL MANUSCRIPT COLLECTIONS LIST
This alphabetical list identifies the main historical manuscripts collections held by the UAA Archives and Special Collections Department. The list is updated immediately after a collection is completely processed. The department also issues a published collections list which is updated annually. These lists do not include collections that are unprocessed or those that have not been formally transferred to the institution.
The information presented includes: title of the collection (in bold capital letters), types of materials, approximate dates of the materials, volume, type of finding aid, and historical manuscripts collection (hmc) control number. A brief descriptive note on the nature of the collection has been added where necessary for clarification. Entries on the list are linked to more extensive collection descriptions and to more detailed finding aids. A few of the collections are copies acquired from other institutions; most of these are on microfilm or microfiche.
