Biographical note:
Philip and Marta Theriault took a cruise to Alaska on the S.S. Universe of World Explorer Cruises, from July 29 to August 12, 1984. The cruise began and ended in Vancouver, British Columbia. They visited Sitka, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Columbia Glacier, Valdez, Whittier, Anchorage, Juneau, Wrangell and Ketchikan.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the Alaska cruise scrapbook of Philip and Marta Theriault from 1984. The collection contains: a Universe Club Member certificate for the Theriaults from World Explorer Cruises; passenger tickets for the couple; the itinerary of the cruise; scrapbook captions; and whole or cut portions of 27 different Alaskan color photo post cards. Subjects of the photo post cards include: the S.S. Universe, Sitka, Skagway, Anchorage, Juneau, Ketchikan, Wrangell, Valdez, Worthington Glacier, Columbia Glacier, Glacier Bay, Bridal Veil Falls, Horsetail Falls, Mendenhall Glacier, and Portage Glacier.

Arrangement: Materials are arranged in their original order.

Processing information: The scrapbook was dismantled, items rearranged by size, and the collection was described by Jeffrey Sinnott in 2004. The guide to the collection was converted to current standard by Gwen Sieja in 2015. The collection was replaced in original order by Shelby Lawson in 2021.
