Biographical note:
Frank P. Curtis was from Auburn, New York. He participated in the Alaska gold rush of 1898, and had a gold claim and mine at King Solomon Hill near Dawson, Yukon Territory, Canada.

Collection description:
The collection consists of three letters by gold miner Frank P. Curtis to his wife, Mary B. Curtis, in New York from 1900-1902.  The letters describe Curtis’s journey from New York to Seattle, Washington and then onwards to Dawson, as well as the purchase of his supplies and clothing, and his mining activities at King Solomon Hill.  The collection also contains two postmarked envelopes.
