Biographical note:
E. J. Megonigal was probably from North Carolina.  During World War II, he served in the Aleutian Islands as a Seabee in Company B., 32nd Naval Construction Battalion.

Collection description:
The letter was written to friends George and Sally Cathey of Tryon, North Carolina.  In the letter, Megonigal writes of having received a letter from the couple, comments on the harsh weather, the large number of ducks and geese, and friends.
