Biographical note:
Elizabeth “Betty” Ulrich and Paul Ulrich lived in Alaska from 1949-1952.

Collection description:
The collection contains colored slides with descriptions of various locations and scenery in Alaska taken by the Ulrichs and professional photographers. Subjects of photographs include Unalaska, Anchorage, Birchwood, Seward, Mat-su, Ketchikan, areas along the Kenai River, and Elmendorf Air Force Base, picnics, scenic views, plant and animal life, University of Alaska Fairbanks, University of Alaska Anchorage, Brooks Range, glaciers, Chickaloon Creek, Eklutna dam, Green Lake, and Seattle. The collection also includes four family films and an audio reel. Two of the films are labeled “Alaska” and “Family” while the other two film rolls and the audio reel are unidentified.
