Course-Related Library Instruction

Faculty may call the Reference Desk at 786-1848 or use these electronic forms to schedule class visits: UAA/APU form | Wayland and Other Institutions.

Two week's notice is requested to book a library instruction session, with at least one week's notice required. Library faculty will customize the presentation to fit the needs of your students if you outline the particular subjects, materials, and online resources you wish to have covered.

Workshops

For Students

Student workshops are offered at various times during the Fall and Spring semesters. These workshops focus on search techniques for online databases and research in specific disciplines. Groups of three or more students can request workshops tailored to their interests by calling the Reference Desk (786-1848) at least one week prior to the requested workshop date.

For Faculty

The library offers online database workshops for faculty during the week preceding the start of Spring Semester classes. These workshops give faculty hands-on training when the library is closed and there are no distractions. Faculty workshops can also be requested throughout the semester.
