[NUGA] August NUGA Meeting - Wednesday, August 5th - Drive and Data Recovery Forensics

Topic: Drive and Data Recovery Forensics

Presentation: John Jenkinson recently completed the SANS Institute's
Security 606 course on Drive and Data Recovery Forensics. The course is
billed as "five bootcamp days of training and learning about trade
secrets of the data recovery profession". It sounds like a class I
would love to have attended, and now John is willing to share a summary
of what he learned with us!

Presented by: John Jenkinson, SAIC

John Jenkinson is employed by SAIC and is currently assigned to their BP
contract. Mr. Jenkinson, GSEC, CISSP, is an experienced computer
security professional with GIAC Certification in Security Essentials.
He also has GCUX, GCWN, GCFW, GCIH, GCIA, AIX, CCSA, and Security+
certifications. John was the first person to obtain the highest
certification that GIAC offers, the GSE, Global Security Expert, and is
currently one of only nine people in the world to hold this distinction.
Before a person can attempt the GSE, they must successfully complete
five intermediate level GIAC certifications and they must earn honors in
at least one of these subject areas. All this and he's a member of
NUGA!

It should be another terrific presentation so plan now to attend and
bring a guest!
