Biographical note:
Keith Capper was a businessman in Anchorage, Alaska. His businesses interests included radio station KBYR (ca. 1945-1950), the Aleutian Gardens restaurant, formerly known as the Lido Gardens (1946-1949), and the Aleutian Athletic Club, Inc. In 1947, he was the president of the Aleutian Athletic Club, Inc., Robert C. Reeve was its vice president, and George R. Jones was its secretary treasurer. Capper’s businesses went into receivership in 1956. Keith Capper ran as an independent candidate for the U. S. Senate from Alaska in 1958.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the business records of Keith Capper. The collection contains: a payroll book (1942-1944); a payroll book for Radio Station KBYR (Jan. 1949); a weekly time book (June-July 1946); a cash book (1956-1957); time sheets (1946); Aleutian Gardens dinner checks (1949); Aleutian Gardens IRS W-2 federal tax withholding statements (1946-1947); check registers (1946-1948, 1953-1957);  bank statements (1949, 1956-1957), deposit slips (1956-1957), and cancelled checks (1949, 1957); a warranty deed (1947); territorial treasurer’s receipts for payment of estate taxes (1957); school tax receipts (1948); and miscellaneous receipts, invoices and notes.
