J. F. Sloboda was an engineer in Eagle, Alaska, in 1914.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the contents of an album of collected Alaskan and northern postcards. The collection contains: 2 original black and white photographic prints; 3 black and white photo post cards; and 23 color photo post cards. Scenes in the images include: Fairbanks, Hyder, Sitka, Placer Canyon, Gold Hill, Treadwell Mine, and Skagway, Alaska; Telegraph Creek, British Columbia; White Pass and Yukon Railway views; White Pass and Yukon Route riverboat steamer White Horse in Five Fingers Rapids; and Dawson, Yukon Territory. Some of the postcards have writing on the back in a variety of hands and from different individuals.

Arrangement: The postcards were retained in the order in which they appeared in the album.

Acquisition note: This collection was purchased at internet auction by the Archives in 2007.

Processing information: This collection was described by Jeffrey Sinnott in 2007. At that time, the album was copied and dismantled and the postcards rehoused in photograph enclosures. The guide to the collection was updated to meet current standard by Arlene Schmuland in 2015.
