Dr. Marny Rivera\u00a0received her PhD in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002.\u00a0 This week on Informania she talks about the immense amount of research conducted by faculty in the Justice Center.\u00a0 Where can you\u00a0search for research published by Justice Center faculty?\u00a0 A list of publications, presentations and research products by the Justice Center and Alaska Justice Statistical Analysis Center products can be\u00a0accessed by publication title or subject search through the Justice Center’s Research Database<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dr. Rivera also shared information about the academic programs offered through the Justice Center.\u00a0\u00a0Academic programs<\/a> are offered in two areas:\u00a0 1) Justice<\/strong> and 2) Legal Studies\/Paralegal<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/strong>The programs under Justice include a Bachelor of Arts in Justice, a Minor in Justice, and a\u00a0<\/strong>Master of Public Administration with a Criminal Justice emphasis<\/a>.\u00a0 Under Legal Studies\/Paralegal the programs include a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies<\/a>,\u00a0a Minor in Legal Studies, an\u00a0Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies<\/a>, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies<\/a>, and a Legal Nurse Consultant\u00a0(LNC)\u00a0Paralegal Certificate<\/a>.\u00a0 Justice Center faculty also provide pre-law advising for UAA students.<\/p>\n
