It takes a little time, but you may check out most of the books you see from any library in the catalog (reference books and archival materials excluded).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Too busy to read? No problem! Download an audiobook from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/adl.overdrive.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alaska Digital Library<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to research women\u2019s history, check out <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.consortiumlibrary.org\/women_gender\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">this guide of sources <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">your trusty librarians put together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You could also look at some of the papers of historic Alaskan women in the UAA\/APU Archives and Special Collections. They have papers of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archives.consortiumlibrary.org\/collections\/specialcollections\/hmc-1326\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lanie Fleischer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (the woman largely responsible for Anchorage\u2019s network of trails), <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archives.consortiumlibrary.org\/collections\/specialcollections\/hmc-0467\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arliss <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sturgulewski<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (the first female candidate for Alaska&#8217;s Governor). <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/archives.consortiumlibrary.org\/collections\/specialcollections\/hmc-1077\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fran Ulmer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (the first woman elected to state-wide office in Alaska).
