The Library is still open to students with a valid UA or APU ID. If you don’t have a UAA ID, we can help you get one, for more information see the COVID-19 update<\/strong><\/a> page. The library hours have changed and there are two sets of hours now: building hours and online research assistance hours. Both are on the\u00a0Library<\/strong>\u00a0Services Update page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

We have laptops along with earbuds available for use within the building for attending classes, and we have laptops that can be checked out to take home. These are available at the Main Circulation Desk. The Library can provide Document Delivery<\/strong><\/a> services for some materials, and students can check-out books from the Library.<\/p>\n

For research help from a\u00a0Librarian, use the\u00a0Library’s\u00a0Ask Us service<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on the\u00a0library\u00a0website. The Consortium\u00a0Library\u00a0has moved to online\u00a0Information\u00a0and Research Services. All the virtual ways to contact us still exist, but we do not have librarians at the first floor Research Help Desk. On the\u00a0Library’s website is an\u00a0Ask Us<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0link which provides access to librarians via chat, email, texting, and\u00a0online appointments<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Please contact\u00a0Archives and Special Collections<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0directly if you have need of their collections or research services.<\/p>\n

The Library has a page within University of Alaska’s Blackboard <\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to make library access easier. There is also a Library link within your course in Blackboard and there are resources on this Guides<\/strong><\/a> page on our website. These pages are designed to provide more direct access to relevant Library\u00a0resources. For many more resources use QuickSearch on our\u00a0main page<\/strong><\/a> or the databases, including our ebook collections.\u00a0The Library is available on the the APU website as well.<\/p>\n

If you need any assistance finding\u00a0information\u00a0or research, please don’t hesitate to contact the\u00a0Virtual Reference Desk<\/strong><\/a>. Or you may contact the subject librarian for your program for research help.
