You can tell if the book you want is still in the library by doing a search at consortiumlibrary.org. First, you can see which library the book is available at under the \u201cLocation\u201d column. Your UAA or APU ID will get you into the UAA\/APU Consortium Library, so be sure your item is listed there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second, you can tell if the item is available on the shelf in the information to the right of the location. If someone else has the item, it will say \u201cChecked Out\u201d with a due date next to it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your item is checked out, try searching <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/find\/ebooks.php\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Ebooks <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/adl.overdrive.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alaska\u2019s Digital Library!<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Have items waiting for you<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the item you want is checked out by someone else, or if you want to be sure it will be waiting for you at the Circulation Desk when you visit, you can place a hold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1081 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM-300x167.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM-1024x571.png 1024w, https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/blogs\/reference\/files\/2020\/04\/Screen-Shot-2020-04-14-at-5.18.35-PM.png 1059w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To place a hold, check to see if there\u2019s a \u201cPlace Hold\u201d button in the upper right hand corner of the item\u2019s catalog entry. If there is, click on it. It will ask you to provide your UAA ID number and PIN,\u00a0 and then ask where you want to pick up your item. Make sure it delivers to the UAA\/APU Consortium Library. If you don\u2019t know your PIN, contact the Circulation Desk at 786-1871.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will receive an email when your item is ready for pick-up. You may then head to the Circulation Desk to check out your item.
