You go to the library to see if they have a copy but you learn that the Library does not purchase textbooks due to the frequent changes in editions.<\/p>\n<p>What should you do?\u00a0Luckily, we have some options for you:<\/p>\n<p>1) Check with the circulation desk to see if the book was put on reserve for your class. Make sure you give the people at the desk the <a href=\"https:\/\/consortiumlibrary.org\/services\/course_reserves.php\">course name and\/or instructor last name<\/a>. Or you can check yourself by going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/jlc-web.uaa.alaska.edu\/client\/uaa\/\">Library Catalog <\/a>and looking for the course by instructor name, course ID or title.<\/p>\n<p>2) Rent a textbook through the <a href=\"http:\/\/bookstore.uaa.alaska.edu\/UAA1\/SiteText.aspx?id=6205\">UAA Campus Bookstore <\/a>or purchase a used copy.<\/p>\n<p>3) Try one of the websites listed in our <a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.consortiumlibrary.org\/content.php?pid=87849&amp;sid=653565\">Textbook guide <\/a>to rent, download, purchase, or try an open textbook.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your class requires a $100 textbook.
