Pick your favorite menu item, prepare it, and come join us for a potluck on May 4th, 2016 at 1:00pm in Archives room 305 on the third floor of the UAA/APU Consortium Library.

The steamship menus within this exhibit are all dated between the 1930s and the 1940s. The menus either list breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or all three. Ports of call for the steamships included cities and towns in Alaska, such as Ketchikan and Juneau.

The exhibit is organized by steamship company and within each page the menus are listed chronologically. To view more information about each menu, such as the description (which includes the name of the ship) or source (which archival collection the menu is from), as well as a scan of the cover or back of the menu, click on the menu image.

A physical exhibit is also on display in the Great Room of the Consortium Library.

Researched and partially digitized by Adriana Pasley. Additional menus digitized and online exhibit created by Amanda Coffey.
