Partner requirements

In addition to the costs of partnering in the project, the following are some of the responsibilities of partners:

  • Participate in training on material selection and metadata application*
  • Agree to content and selection standards for materials placed in the Digital Archives
  • Ability to provide high resolution scans to users upon request*
  • Institutional email (not an individual person’s) that can be used to receive and respond to requests from the site
  • Fee schedule for reproductions and usage
  • Use paperwork appropriate to the ownership/rights of the materials
  • Maintain a local website page specific to the Digital Archives project with information about ordering and use
  • Provide citation requirements
  • Maintain contact information for a local coordinator for the partnership
  • Materials added to the Digital Archives must be available for public access

*If a partner does not have in-house capacity to digitize materials or apply metadata, this work can be contracted out but still must meet project standards.
