Reason for Selection: This photograph shows some of the extensive damage from the 1964 Good Friday earthquake in Anchorage. The quake was the largest ever recorded in North America. This store was rebuilt and is still in business on the same site. The Robert and Wilma Knox Collection contains the largest group of earthquake related photographs in the UAA archives. (KRH)
