The library has both quiet and group study spaces throughout the building.
Study Rooms
- Group and Individual Study Rooms
- The library has both group study rooms and individual study rooms located on the first and second floors of the library. All study rooms are first come, first served. Individual study rooms may be used for remote proctored and other testing.
- Graduate Study Rooms (Carrels)
- Graduate Carrels are available for UAA/APU students enrolled in graduate-level programs.
- Quiet Study Areas
- The open areas along the east (curved) side of the building on the second floor are quiet study areas. Earplugs are available in the vending maching by the Main Circulation Desk.
- Group Study & Collaboration Areas
- The open areas in the Great Room on the first floor, Alaskana and Government Documents sections on the second floor, and along the east (curved) side of the building on the third floor are group study and collaboration areas. These areas may be used for online courses.

After Hours Study
University of Alaska students (all campuses) and Alaska Pacific University students can enter or remain in the library for after hours study. University ID is required. See library hours for availability.
