Renew Materials

To renew books, the fastest method is to login to your account.

Steps for logging in to your account.

  1. Be certain to have your library account number. This is available on the back of your UAA or APU ID card.
  2. Enter all 10 digits on your library card, no spaces.
  3. Enter the PIN number. PIN is initially set to the last 4 digits of your SSN.
  4. Once logged in, select the "Renew Items" option.

Renewal Policies

  • A book may be renewed (depending on patron type) for two additional loan periods unless it has been requested by another patron.
  • Patrons may renew books by telephone (786-1871), in person at the Circulation Desk, or by logging into their account online.

Checkout Times

  • Most circulating books, including government documents may be borrowed for 21-28 days, depending on patron status.
  • Juvenile books are checked out for 28 days.
  • Reference books, Alaska Reference books, and periodicals are not circulated.
  • Faculty and graduate students have an extended loan period.
  • ARLIS books may be checked out for 28 days
